Tour Plan
The park will be open for you to explore all day. You'll leave for your early-morning game drive after breakfast. After your transfer, you can eat lunch at your lodging at your leisure. A game drive will start in the late afternoon. You'll go back to the lodge for dinner later. More than 400 different bird species, the Big Five, and Mount Kilimanjaro's summit will all be visible.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is a short drive away. It continues to be one of the only locations on the planet where animals continues to coexist in almost the same numbers as when they originally roamed the African plains and woods. The stunning yearly migration of numerous thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and accompanying predators takes place in the Mara, which serves as the northernmost point of the huge Serengeti ecosystem. You'll get there in time for lunch and a game drive in the afternoon.
In the Masai Mara, you'll get a full day with a flexible itinerary and unrestricted kilometers. We will go on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch after breakfast. The reserve is widely recognized for both its large resident animal population and its black-maned lions. It's one of the few locations where a morning game drive offers the chance to see the Big Five. Many cheetahs are so docile that they seek shade from the sun under people's cars, and some even climb onto the roof to obtain a better view of potential food.
Nearly 500 species of birds have been identified, including 16 species of eagle, several hawk and falcon species, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 bustard species , the kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird in the world , and a couple other species of sunbirds.
As we leave the national reserve, we will start the day with a wildlife drive in the Masai Mara. Drive to Tanzania's Serengeti National Park after border procedures. Although the day of driving will be lengthy, the game drives into and out of the parks may be quite amazing. However, in order to give you more time for a safari, we always advise flying between parks. You might also add an extra day to explore Lake Victoria, which is located halfway between the two sites.
The expansive Serengeti is seen in front of you as you reach the top of the hill. The name Serengeti translates to "endless plains" in Kiswahili. More than 2 million big animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles, live in this 6,900 square mile (18,000 square km) park. This abundance of migrating food attracts large predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas to the area. Along with approximately 500 different kinds of birds, the region is also home to other smaller creatures such rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, and African hares.
You have the option to stop at the renowned Olduvai Gorge on the route into the Serengeti, which is where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made their discovery of the first man to walk the world. On your way to the campground, you'll have a game drive in the late afternoon.
Transfer to Ngorongoro, the eighth natural wonder of the world, in the morning. You will halt to have a picnic lunch. A day of animal viewing in one of the most amazing places on earth begins with a fall to the crater floor in the late afternoon. The crater, which has 2,000-foot-high walls and a 102 square mile crater floor, is home to nearly all of East Africa's native animal species, including the endangered black rhino. In fact, the crater is home to more animals than any other place on earth. It has a river, various wetlands, and a soda lake that appears to be steam from above. Flamingos, forests, and wide-open grasslands are all present.
Drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive after breakfast. This charming park, which is just 205 square miles in size, is well known for its beauty and wonderfully thick acacia woodland of huge fig and mahogany trees, which is home to hordes of baboons and blue monkeys. The park is also home to a sizable population of buffalo, giraffes, elephants, impalas, and a lake where many hippos frequently congregate. With almost 400 distinct types of birds, Lake Manyara is well recognized for being one of the few spots where you may observe the ground hornbill and the crested eagle.
You'll start your journey to Amboseli National Park early in the morning. Check in at your lodging, then decide whether you want to take a nap or go on a game drive in the late afternoon. Amboseli National Park is located south of Nairobi; the majority of the park is made up of a fragile grassland with patches of acacia forest and an old, dry lake bed, while there are a few tiny rocky volcanic hills in the southern region. The vegetation is abundant with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms in the vicinity of the wetlands Ol OKenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok.
With a packed lunch provided, you'll rise early to get fantastic views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds gather at the peak.
Amboseli National Park may be the greatest wildlife refuge in all of Africa to see elephants up close despite its shifting environment. Elephants eating and swimming in marshes unmolested by poachers must rank among the safari's highlights.
In Amboseli, you'll go on a morning game drive. It is also possible to arrange a visit to a Maasai hamlet. Visits provide light on the singing and dancing that are a component of their everyday activities and revered traditions. It is moving to get a peek into their social hierarchy and residences. Drive to Nairobi early in the afternoon, arrive there about 5:00 pm, and then take a shuttle to your hotel or the airport.
