Tour Plan
A 5- to 6-hour journey will take you to the Masai Mara National Reserve; you'll be there in time for lunch. Masai Mara is a natural wilderness of mesmerizing beauty that offers its guests an abundance of animals, a plethora of birds, and the chance to see all five of the "Big Five" in one morning. A variety of African images may be found inside the 1,800 square kilometers of this seasoned reserve, including miles of lion-gold grasslands, shoals of lilac-misted hills, a flowing river, acres of thornbushes, and miles and miles of undulating solitude.
Thanks to the rich population of resident wildlife, which includes the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as well-known species like zebra, giraffe, hyena, eland, and gazelle, game watching in the Masai Mara is great all year long. Big cats from the Mara are even the focus of a well-liked wildlife television program. As your introduction to the park, do a game drive in the late afternoon in search of the Big Five. After supper, head back to your hotel.
With morning and afternoon game drives, spend the entire day in the Masai Mara. One of the finest chances to observe cheetahs and lions in Africa is at Masai Mara National Reserve. Your greatest opportunity to see millions of wildebeest crossing the swollen, crocodile-infested Mara River up close and personal is to visit this reserve in July. The wildebeest migration is among nature's most breathtaking animal displays. The amount of wildebeests entering the region is astounding. A stunning mass movement of about two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles occurs every year during the migration, which is triggered by rains.
Wildebeests bravely traverse rivers while dodging gigantic crocodiles in order to reach new grass in the Masai Mara where they feast and refuel. The wildebeest go south to the Serengeti during the penultimate phase of their migration, which is sparked by the brief rains in November. After dinner, spend the night in the tented camp.
Enjoy a pre-breakfast game watching drive in the Masai Mara by waking up early. At a hunt, it is the finest time to see cats. After breakfast, go back to the campsite to check out. Lunch on the way, then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Take a game drive as soon as you reach the park to look for animals. Visitors may experience the great ecological diversity with a variety of habitats, ranging from Lake Nakuru itself to the adjacent escarpment and scenic ridges, at this shallow alkaline lake. The primary thing to do at Lake Nakuru is go on a wildlife drive. The ecological life of Lake Nakuru depends on grazers, hunters, scavengers, and foragers. Along with flamingos, the park is home to approximately 450 different bird species.
One of the finest ornithological shows in the world is said to take place at the lake. Other big creatures found in the park include zebras, gazelles, Rothschild giraffes, impalas, a refuge for black and white rhinos, and others. You spend the night in the camp and have dinner there.
You will go on morning game drives at Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the few places in Kenya's Great Rift Valley that has the ability to contain a lot of birds, after a leisurely breakfast. After that, you'll head to Amboseli National Park while enjoying a picnic lunch. Arrive at Amboseli in the evening for supper and spend the night at the resort with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak.
Spend the entire day in Amboseli on game drives to explore the park and take in the stunning vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa. View the famed elephants who live in this park in enormous groups. Amboseli is well-known for its breath-taking Kilimanjaro vistas and consistently good elephant sightings. Here, nature enthusiasts may discover five distinct ecosystems, including the dried-up lake bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, savannah, and woods.
Additionally, you may go see the Maasai people who live close to the park and learn about their genuine culture by visiting them. The leopard, cheetah, wild dog, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, crocodile, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, lesser kudu, and nighttime porcupine may all be seen in this area. Additionally, there is a thriving birdlife with 600 species. Your whole stay, including all meals, is at the lodge.
You will go for an extended morning game watching drive in Amboseli National Park after a leisurely breakfast as you take in the magnificent Kilimanjaro. The park gives off the standard Hollywood depictions of Africa. Its surroundings of sweeping savannah are overshadowed by the presence of Mount Kilimanjaro, whose 5896-meter top has a pink tint and is covered with snow. It is the world's tallest free-standing mountain. Huge herds of elephants, together with lions, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, gazelles, hippos, and wildebeests, graze in front of this spectacular setting. After leaving the park, you will travel back to Nairobi, stopping along the way at the airport or a hotel.
