Tour Plan
You will be picked up early in the morning and then driven to Lake Nakuru National Park. In the Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru is located south of Bogoria and across from the equator. It is regarded as one of the world's natural marvels and is famous across the world for its flamingos.
Along with being a refuge for rhinos, Lake Nakuru is home to more than 40 black and more than 60 white rhinos. Of course, the flamingos have always drawn the most visitors. At any given moment, there might be around two million flamingos living there, creating a breathtakingly lovely deep pink strip along the lake's border. You'll be there in time for lunch and a game drive in the afternoon. You'll eat dinner and spend the night in a campground or resort.
Take a morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve to start the day. One of the few remaining locations on earth where wildlife still coexists in relative peace and plenty amid the plains and woodlands of Africa is here. The stunning yearly migration of numerous thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and accompanying predators takes place in the Mara, which serves as the northernmost point of the huge Serengeti ecosystem. You'll get there in time for lunch and a game drive in the afternoon.
We have a full day of wildlife viewing in the Masai Mara after breakfast (lunch will be a picnic). The reserve is widely recognized for its large variety of animals and black-maned lions. One of the few locations where the big five may be spotted on a morning game drive is here. Many cheetahs are so domesticated that they seek cover from the blazing sun under moving objects. Some even scale the roof to gain a better look at potential prey.
Nearly 500 different bird species have been identified here, for the bird aficionados. Among them are 16 different species of eagle, several hawk and falcon species, six different vulture species, eight different stork species, four different bustard species (including the Kori bustard, the biggest flying bird in the world), and nine different sunbird species.
Using the Isebania border crossing, you will travel from the Masai Mara to the Serengeti National Park today. The majority of the day will be spent on this transfer, but you will get to go for a game drive at that time.
You will take a game drive in the afternoon on the way to your tented camp. There are also evening wildlife drives available.
The wide Serengeti stretches out in front of you as you reach the top of the hill. Kiswahili's translation of the name Serengeti is "endless plains". More than two million big animals live in this 6,900 square mile (18,000 square km) park, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles. The amount of migratory prey that frequents the area attracts large predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Along with approximately 500 different kinds of birds, the region is also home to other smaller creatures such rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, and African hares. The second day will be spent in the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives.
You must get up quite early today for a safari before breakfast. At this hour, the animals are more active, and you may see an amazing dawn. One of the most breathtaking sights one may see is the dawn over the African savannah. You will return to the camp for breakfast following the game drive. We will travel to Ngorongoro in the afternoon, the eighth wonder of the world. The crater resembles Noah's Ark thanks to its 2,000-foot high walls and 102 square miles of crater floor. Almost all of the East African fauna, including the endangered black rhino, calls it home.
The crater is home to the most fauna on the whole globe. The dense mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses is the reason why the giant bull elephants that live here develop such enormous tusks.
Everyone will begin the day very early and descend down the crater bottom for a fantastic morning of animal viewing in one of the most beautiful sites on Earth. There will be time for a picnic lunch next to the stunning Hippo Lake after the wildlife drive. Before ascending the crater and leaving the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Lake Manyara, we will have time for a brief wildlife drive. Instead of going to Manyara, you might go to Tarangire (recommended from June to September).
After breakfast, you'll leave to travel across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of wildlife viewing. This magical park is well-known for its allure and extraordinarily thick acacia woodland, which is home to blue monkeys and baboon bands as well as enormous fig and mahogany trees. It is renowned for having an incredible variety of birds. Buffalos, giraffes, elephants, impalas, and hippos are among the many animals that call the park home and congregate in great numbers around the "Hippo lake."
In addition, this park is well-known for the flamingos that live beside the lake and the lions that can scale trees. Game drives are conducted along the lake's edge, offering breathtaking views of the animals in the front and the lake, flamingos, and open grasslands in the distance. You'll take a transport to Arusha in the afternoon.
You have the choice of planning a bike excursion.
As an alternative, you may go on to Amboseli in Kenya and embark on a safari there for one or two nights instead of coming to Arusha. The tour will end in Nairobi.
